Sad Day...

Today was a very sad day. I had to put a dog I have had for nearly 10 years to sleep. Dutchess has had serious hip problems for a while. She was in constant pain and had difficulty getting up. It was our vet's professional opinion that her quality of life was very poor. We rescued her from a shelter about 9 years ago. We were never sure of her exact age, but she was probably close to 14. She lived a good life and was a great dog. I'll never forget how when she was younger, she loved to run and play in the sprinklers. She was a sweet dog and was always kind to everyone she met. She will be missed.
